Eyes of Sustainability

The Project

“Eyes of Sustainability” is a space for opinion and comprehension of the facts I live and read.
It is my spot on the web, and, at the same time, an exercise. I intend to use it as a professional portfolio while I develop my writing skills.

I understand the specialization path, but I prefer to keep a broader scope here. Sustainability cannot simply be considered one more domain of knowledge. Nobody should be named specialist in sustainability, as it is a naturally intersciplinary concept. I will take the risk of writing about some of the dimensions of this concept.

The interaction between sustainability and finance will be the starting point of reflections that may arrive to the Arts, Politics and Education. I will explore the limits of sustainable investment: the corporate application of the term is already being widely investigated, but governements, NGOs and citizens also make decisions that impact the future of humankind.

Organizations, individuals and states formulate, daily, good ideas and projects. I will present some selected initiatives, but sometimes only on my Twitter.

I aim to respect a geographic criterion to choose the journalistic sources I will comment. Articles about the Brazilian reality will probably have more space.

In conclusion, I would like to affirm my skepticism on the eternal conservation of the scope of this project. My ideas will change, the readers will comment, and the guidelines will evolve.
